Chioma Onyenwe is a Nigerian filmmaker. With a background in economics and management from the University of Lagos and Imperial College London, she plunged into full time film-making in 2014. She owns Raconteur Productions which produces content spanning film, television, online and documentaries. Her first feature 8 Bars and a Clef, was nominated for the 2016 AMAA Award for Best First Feature Film by a Director. She produced stage play August Meeting, a story about the Aba women’s riot at the 2018 Lagos Theatre Festival and is currently on a nationwide tour.
Chioma’s podcast series 23419 was released January 2021 and she is the Artistic Director for the Africa International Film Festival.
