Angeli has been working as story editor and development producer for many years in cinema and TV and has worked on over fifty feature-length dramas, around two hundred short films and has recently turned her hand to television. Projects she has developed include The Favourite, Death of A President, The Guard, Stardust, Animals, Dirty God, the newly released first features Looted (BIFA nom 2021), Sweetheart and Body of Water and upcoming It Is In Us All. She is well known for her nurturing of emerging writing and directing talent and has had a significant impact on the diversity of new work produced in recent years. Funders across the private and public sectors (Film4, Pathé, Carnival, Altered Image Films, Element Pictures, National Geographic Films, 42MP) also hire Angeli to work with top talent; for example Patrick Harbinson, Jeremy Brock, Nathan Parker, Rebecca Lenkiewicz, John Brownlow. Angeli has also begun writing herself and her first co-written feature L.O.L.A (d. Andrew Legge) for Screen Ireland is currently in post-production. She’s writing two stageplays, a short story anthology and is producing feature adaptation Gunnar’s Daughter by Rebecca Lenkiewicz (Ida, Colette) with producer Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor (2020 Screen Int’l Star of Tomorrow). Angeli’s latest work includes script editing a true crime series for Orche Pictures and SA cabler MNet and leading a story room for Netflix UK alongside several British indie features. Angeli teaches the National Film & Television School diploma in Script Development, runs Film London’s Microwave Scheme and is a voting member of BAFTA having sat on four BAFTA juries.
